Second Cities is one of our main project. Author and manager of the project is Pavel Maria Smejkal. The main goal of the project is creation of contacts, exchanges, cooperations of photographers and organizations from second largest cities in Europe. The idea has got strong response in many cities and we are now in 4th year of our work. You can see some results here: www.2ndcities.net.
We have arranged a workshop in Kosice, Slovakia, for seven photographers from Austria, Czech republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and France, their portfolio you can find here >>> We have published two catalogues, pdf files 2007 you can see here >>> and from 2008 here >>> This year, thanks to support of Slovak Ministry of Culture, we are working on the workshop Košice - Marseille. Three photographers from Košice were in Marseille to catch the feeling of this old city and twoo Marseille's author visited Košice to show us as thay see this eastern Slovakia city. We are working on the photos, selections etc. We prepare bilboard prezentation of the project in the streets of Kosice just now. |
